Before I moved to Canada, this is what I thought a snow boot looked like. Silly, silly, but fashionable, me. On my first snowy trip to visit Darling Fiance, in what I viewed as the great white north (who am I kidding? I still view this country as the great white north, now I just am better outfitted) I brought along what I thought constituted snow boots. He took one look at them and started laughing. He then laughed some more. And then a little bit more to really prove his point. He’s a charmer that Darling Fiance. But I digress. I shortly thereafter learned on that trip, as I slipped about the Old Port, that I would have to quickly change my opinion of what a snow boot really was. Please refer to the small shetland ponies that I now wear. That being said, these boots are still one of my favorite winter items. They always seem to invoke this fabulous apres ski feel to me. Bring on the chalet and hot cocoa!
