It might be barely officially Winter but the fashion world is looking towards Spring/Summer with collections already being previewed. I recently got a sneak peek of the upcoming Judith & Charles Spring/Summer 2016 collection and thanks to the gorgeous pieces I saw, I can’t wait for the first deliveries to start hitting stores in the new year. Know for expert tailoring and fine European fabrics…
CHANEL Métiers d’Art “Paris in Rome 2015/16” Collection
It’s no secret that I have a deep (and according to Darling Husband, expensive) love of the legendary house of CHANEL. Synonymous with luxury, CHANEL is a shining example of all that is magical and downright artistic in the world of fashion. From their spectacular Haute Couture collections to their lust-worthy and totally iconic quilted handbags, each season and collection only further cements the power of CHANEL. Under the direction of fashion powerhouse Karl Lagerfeld, the house has only continued to remain at the forefront of the luxury world…
RUNWAY REPORT: Backstage at CHANEL Spring-Summer 2016
While the major international Fashion Weeks might be over, I would be remiss in not sharing these incredible backstage images from the epic CHANEL Spring-Summer 2016 show. The ready-to-wear collection was presented at the famed Grand Palais which Karl Lagerfeld transformed into the most elegant airline terminal in the world. Wearing oversized aviators laser-engraved with the iconic CHANEL quilting and carrying either the new cabin “Coco Case” or an XXL version of the 11.12, hostesses and passengers glided through Terminal 2C of the Paris Cambon Airport…
Runway Report: CHANEL Haute Couture Presentation
I have to be honest, this article has taken me much longer then I ever anticipated to write. Each time I would sit down at my laptop, I would have trouble finding just the right words to express what a special and spectacular experience it was to view the CHANEL Haute Couture Automne-Hiver 2015/16 collection while in New York for Fashion Week. I’m going to preemptively apologize for the gushing that will ensue, but please believe it is all genuine.
Runway Report: Herve Leger S/S 16
Herve Leger by Max Azria is always one of my favorite shows to attend each season. The famed brand has not only stayed true to its architectural seductiveness under the Azria’s direction, it has continued to evolve while still honoring its heritage. The S/S 16 collection is truly my favorite collection to date for the brand. From the elegant pantsuits to dramatic belled sleeves that were seen on many pieces, the collection has a subtle refinement to it. As for the famed bandage dresses, intricate beading, embroidery, and other fine hand-finishes add a decidedly luxe feel to already special pieces…
Runway Report: BCBGMAXAZRIA S/S 16
Even though cooler days are quickly approaching, the fashion world is already looking towards Spring/Summer ’16. Fashion month has officially kicked off with the New York shows and as usual, BCBGMAXAZRIA opened the week on a strong and totally fashionable foot.
Inspired by the surf, skate, and music culture of sunny California, the collection was bohemian beach beauty at its best. Dreamy tie-dyes, intricate patchwork, and richly textured embroideries added…
