You’ll notice from the picture above that my wife has a fondness for animal skins… In particular, she has a remarkable affinity for the pelts of that speedy feline, the leopard. If you’re an avid reader of this blog, you’ll know that I take pictures of Jess on a weekly basis. During our frequent outfit planning chats, Jess will extol the virtues of leopard print as a wonderful “neutral” which can be paired with almost anything.
Allow me to say this in no uncertain terms: LEOPARD IS NOT A NEUTRAL. It is nothing like beige or grey… It is not a muted tone of any sort. It is a SKIN (albeit faux) from a ferocious creature which roams the savannah.
If gazelles leap out of your way when you cross the street, you’re wearing too much leopard…
