Darling Husband and I are at that phase in life where our friends our doing terribly grownup things like getting married and having babies. My Facebook feed is now full of photos of newborns and wedding photos where it used to be full of pictures that current and future employers might not be to thrilled with and could potentially keep those pictured within from running for public office. While it’s still strange to see frat boys from my university years posing with their newborns (really, some one these boys could barely function and now they’re responsible for tiny human lives) it’s wonderful to see the people we care about start these new chapters in their lives. This past Saturday, we celebrated the big traditional Greek marriage of one of Darling Husband’s childhood friends. I pulled this Betsey Johnson dress from the deep dark recesses of my closet and paired it with these blood-red velvet heels. Coupled with my rather pasty pale skin, it resulted in my best True Blood impression. Truth be told, a brand recently shared a photo of me on their Facebook page and more than one kind commenter suggested getting a tan or the high probability of me being an extra on the hit Showtime series. To them I say, thanks for loving my outfit darlings and but I’ll take looking like a True Blood extra over Magda any day.
