Last weekend, Darling Husband and I spent a whirlwind 48ish hours in London. With the totally zen luxe Metropolitan by COMO in Kensington as our home-base, I got to enjoy taking in the Mademoiselle Privé exhibit at the Saatchi Gallery before it closed and an oh-so important shopping exhibition to Harrods while he attended to business commitments. From dining at 34, Nobu, Hawksmore, and even visiting the cutest Second Cup on Portobello Road, we basically ate our way through our time in this amazing city.
However, most amazingly for me, I kept my packing to a seriously light one small bag. Needless to say, this was a first. I typically travel with one bag dedicated solely to shoes. And yes, I know this sounds, and is, a little ridiculous. To streamline my packing, I went with items that would not only take up minimal space but would also work multiple ways. These FRYE riding books in particular proved to be perfect for spending the day exploring but when paired with a nicer look, perfectly transitioned for dinner out at a smart restaurant making them the only shoes I wore the entire time.
