There’s a definite chill in the air here in Montreal and alas, it’s only a matter of time before there’s snow on the ground. And while fall dressing might be fun with all of the layering and chunky knits, I’d much rather be enjoying the warm summer sun in the Loire Valley.
Our visit to Château Villandry fell on one of those perfect warm summer days when all you want to do is enjoy a cold ice cream while sitting outside taking in the gorgeous day. After touring this beautiful château, that’s just what Darling Husband and I did. Following a rose crème glacée, we explored what are arguably some of the most beautiful and intricate gardens in the region.
