When the lookbook for MinkPink‘s F/W 2013 collection landed in my inbox, I knew I had to share it. These are just a few of my favorite looks and honestly, it was difficult to narrow down my choices as to not make this post ramble on endlessly. MinkPink is a bit of a departure from my otherwise super feminine style but I love the 90s grunge influence that permeates this collection in particular. During my early teenage years, grunge was the height of fashion with Kate Moss even embracing the ubiquitous flannel shirt. As Alanis Morissette’s Jagged Little Pill played on repeat on my discman, I lusted over the style of Courtney Love and Winona Ryder wishing I could be as cool as they were. Well, minus the drug addiction and eventual penchant for shoplifting. But I digress…back to the fashion at hand darlings. There’s also little hints of luxe touches that I’m totally smitten with sprinkled throughout the collection like baroque inspired prints and velvet. I love playing with my style, allowing it to continually evolve and my wardrobe to grow larger still. These pieces from MinkPink are the perfect foils to my bows, lace, and party dresses and add just the right amount of edge to my ever evolving look.
