One of my favorite and most special experiences from New York Fashion Week was an intimate morning spent at the flagship location of the iconic jewelry house Tiffany & Co. I quite literally had breakfast at Tiffany’s. However, the highlight of the morning was hearing the newly appointed design director Francesca Amfitheatrof speak about her first collection for the brand with fashion world powerhouse Miroslava Duma. Amfitheartrof’s passion for jewelry, Tiffany & Co., and the Tiffany T collection was truly infectious, one could not help but be totally charmed by her and her collection.
A graduate of Central Saint Martins and the Royal Collage of Art, Amfitheatrof is both a trained jeweler and silversmith. Having previously created collections for some of the most storied fashion and jewelry houses, she is now the first female design director in Tiffany & Co. ‘s 177 year history. Tiffany T, her first collection, embraces the brand’s history while injecting it with a fresh breath of modernity. Done in gold, sterling silver, white gold, rose gold, and diamonds, the collection is elegant and streamlined. Drawing inspiration from her global lifestyle, Amfitheatrof has created a stunning collection of pieces that are simply effortlessly elegant.
