To say that I was excited for the season premiere of Mad Men is a bit of an understatement. I can’t get enough of the show’s intricate story lines, dry wit, and serious fashion eye candy that the show provides. The fact that it’s so spot on when it comes to historical accuracy makes the history nerd in me swoon as well. I’m an avowed member of Team Betty all the way, I love her icy blond coolness and her impeccable style. Sartorially, she can do no wrong in my book. That being said, I’m loving the new Mrs. Draper. Megan has some serious style of her own with her penchant for dramatic winged eyeliner and glamorous false lashes even at the office. As for the perfect mod style of hers, the little black dress with the sheer bell sleeves she wore for Don’s party made me take to my laptop to find a similar style all my own. If there wasn’t oodles to adore about Megan as is, the actress who plays her is actually a Montreal girl! Jessica Paré grew up one neighborhood over from my lovely Westmount in Notre-Dame-de-Grace.
