Au revoir darlings! I’m off to Philadelphia today to finally see my wedding dress almost ten months after purchasing it and have my first fitting. Shoes of the red soled variety were acquired months ago during a whirlwind trip to New York and jewelry has been selected, I’ll be wearing assorted family heirlooms, so my wedding look is pretty complete! With hair and makeup selected as well, the wedding is feeling much closer. That and my lovely maids of honor like texting me to let me know where we are on the countdown of days to go. Planning my real life version of My Big Fat Greek/Russian/Jewish/Irish wedding has been calm so far but I have a feeling that as July comes to a close and the days keep ticking down till September 29th, things are bound to get crazy. There are tastings to be had and decor decisions to be made…and I have to figure out the seating chart for our close to two hundred and fifty guests.
