Philadelphia is a city of distinct neighborhoods. I’ve introduced you to Rittenhouse Square and now I’d like to introduce you to South Philadelphia. With it’s historic Italian Market, rows of cute townhouses, the world famous Geno’s and Pat’s cheeseteaks, and countless yummy restaurants this neighborhood is injected with lots of history and local flavor. One of the highlights of the neighborhood is Termini Brothers, a family owned Italian bakery that has been in operation since 1921. Terminis’ has a special place in my heart (and my stomach), not only did my parents wedding cake come from this Philadelphia institution but my birthday cake for the past 26 years has been their Toms chocolate cake.
For a rainy day in South Philadelphia I channeled my inner Audrey Hepburn with a belted trench and a pair of my favorite ballet flats from Pretty Ballerinas, slim J Brand jeans and a crisp Ralph Lauren shirt.
