Sunday afternoon was spent in Laval having a delicious home cooked lunch at one of the grandmothers’ houses and of course we were sent home with a healthy serving of leaftovers that will no doubt feed us for the next few days. I’ve been so spoiled with the amazing home cooked food that we get weekly, there’s almost no reason for me to cook. This is of course, a big giant positive. Prior to moving in with Darling Fiance, my kitchen was an extension of my closet providing room for overflow shoes and sweaters. You were more likely to find flip flops in my stove then you ever were to find actual food. My fridge held face cream and a bottle of champagne. That being said, after lunch we headed back into town to go iceskating. Much like cooking, this is something I never really indulged in before moving here. However, last week Darling Fiance came home with a big bag and an even bigger smile on his face. He had purchased me ice skates. Hell, and the rink, had officially frozen over. Skating went….well it went surprisingly better than anticipated. There were a few yelps, a minor temper tantrum, and quite a few “don’t let go of me…hooooooooney’s!” But, I have to say I actually really enjoyed myself and have a feeling I’ll be taking advantage of the rink right around the corner from us this winter. Hope you had a wonderful weekend darlings!
