This cape from Saint James represents so much of what I love about this French heritage brand. Not only is it quite obviously stunning, but it was produced utilizing high quality materials in an ethical manner utilizing traditional methods combined with modern technology. If all of this didn’t make this gorgeous piece of clothing special enough, it also represents Saint James’ commitment to supporting the community around them. The line has deep and proud roots in the Breton community, and they have shown a constant commitment to honouring their roots and supporting and promoting the artisans and producers of their region. However, what truly makes this cape such a special piece is that is was designed by a young man named Romain Brifault who is an independent designer from the region, and who also happens to be on the autism spectrum. Incredibly talented, Monsieur Brifault’s stunning cape design was so popular that we’ll be seeing even more from him for Spring/Summer 2019 in collaboration with Saint James. Personally, I can’t wait to see what the new season will bring, not just from Saint James but from Monsieur Brifault as well!
