Simone Pérèle Showroom Visit

September 25, 2018

Not too long ago, I had the pleasure of visiting the Canadian showroom for famed French lingerie line Simone Pérèle here in Montreal where I discovered some of their newest pieces and learned even more about this heritage brand. Having been first introduced to the line a few years ago {you can check out my first experience here}, I’ve come to adore their pieces and have incorporated them into my own lingerie drawer. Known for expert construction, luxurious fabrics and fine finishings, Simone Pérèle has become synonymous with French allure since Madam Pérèle first opened her Parisian atelier in 1948. Since then, subsequent generations of Pérèles have continued to run the Maison in the spirt of its founder and her belief that “self- confidence is a beauty that never fades.” This powerful belief has impacted the pieces and the ethos of the company from the very the Maison’s very first day, resulting in gorgeous pieces that are meant to make the wearer feel beautiful, confident, and supported.

Combining traditional production techniques with contemporary know-how, the pieces are a beautiful mix of old world luxury with fresh modernity. Ranging from A to H cup, a dedicated team of designers under the direction of the line’s artistic director imagine and create pieces that – while intended to be under-garments – are beautiful enough to be stand-alone pieces. Exacting standards are applied throughout the entire creation process from the first sketches of each piece, to the final fittings on both consumers and employees of the house before a piece is finally put into production.  The line has been at the forefront of the lingerie world, literally shaping it and its clients all around the world. In the early 2000s, the brand launched its wildly popular Andora line utilizing a 3D spacer fabric to ensure the cup lays properly on the body while giving a full and lifted appearance to the bust and since then, one Andora bra is purchased every minute throughout the globe.

While the lines obvious beauty is what first captivated me, It is this attention to detail and dedication to quality that made me continue to purchase and wear pieces from Simone Pérèle. I also love how the designs are rooted in fashion and function, a rare combination that is increasingly hard to find! And as for comfort, they are some of the most comfortable bras that I have ever worn.

I enjoy long walks through Neiman Marcus, red soled shoes, skinny black pants, oversized cocktail rings, obnoxious bows, nipped waists and full skirts.
