This past Friday my mum and one of her friends surprised me by taking a last minute trip to visit me here in Montreal. It was so nice to have them here in the city and the weather turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. Saturday was spent taking care of some wedding related tasks followed by a long walk in the Old Port. We ended up enjoying cocktails and a snack in the gorgeous interior courtyard of Jardin Nelson. With the jazz singer and quartet playing standards in the background, the atmosphere was perfectly European and reminded me of my time spent in the south of France.
