Montreal in the summer is gorgeous, so gorgeous that it makes up for the wardrobe crushing snow that forces me to wear an actual snow parka instead of my gorgeous Anne Fontaine wool military coat come fall/winter. One of the best ways to enjoy Montreal on a gorgeous day is to head down to the Old Port. One of the oldest sections of the city, it’s reminiscent of the cobblestone streets of Paris. Coupled with the sound of French in the air, quaint art galleries and boutiques and charming bistros you really feel transported to Paris, plodding tourists and all. It was a perfect day spent wandering around and ended with champagne on the terrace of the Auberge du Vieux Port just because. I was so happy to wear these honeysuckle jeans I picked up at Topshop during my trip to New York the last time I was in the States. Note to self though, don’t wear plastic shoes on a really hot summer day when you plan on walking a few miles…even if they’re Tory Burch. Hello Kitty bandaids will be needed by the end of the day. Any fun weekend plans darlings?
