Another one of the most highly anticipated shows of World MasterCard Fashion Week was VAWK. Creative director and designer Sunny Fong presented a collection that was inspired by the luxury of Dubai and 90s street fashion, a melding of the classic and the contemporary. With elegant injections of sheer panels and cutouts and luxe leather and leather sequin detailing, the collection exuded an alluring confidence.This season, Fong invited the Alleles Design Studio to show one of their stunning prosthetic lower limb covers as a perfect complement to his powerful collection. VAWK gowns have previously been seen on the Cannes International Film Festival, Grammy, and People’s Choice red carpets. A former winner of Project Runway Canada, Fong has continued to command the attention of the fashion world with his Canadian produced luxury womenswear line.
