Peruvian born designer Sergio Davila‘s presentation was the final show of New York Fashion Week that I attended. Held in conjunction with the launch of his Nolita based boutique at 8 Spring Street, Davila showed a collection deeply inspired by the Americans. Also drawing on inspiration from vintage photographs of Latin America in the 1920s, Davila created pieces from beautifully soft materials like pima cotton and baby alpaca blended with silk. The Spring/Summer 2014 collection is a mix of both mens and womens sportswear and is relaxed yet still sophisticated.
