While we’re mostly sitting at home in a rotation of loungewear, I would be remiss in not sharing the Spring/Summer 2020 collection from Pretty Ballerinas.
As always, the press preview for the brand not only served to introduce me to the upcoming styles, but also helped me craft my personal wish/shopping list. Even with the towering stack of pink boxes in my wardrobe, each season always bring beautiful new takes on the classic styles that are at the heart of the line. This season brings bold neons, bejewelled embellishments, ruffles, bows, tassels, and animal prints. There were even darling new styles added to the girls line that would make any little girl feel like a princess.
While there are quite a few styles I fell in love with, the first and second pair pictured in this post were my two top picks. The white mules with the grosgrain white bow and jewelled buckle are the stuff of my Marie Antoinette’s dreams. They would be just as stunning with jeans as they would with a dressier look. In fact, they are the perfect shoe for a bride who wants a pair of flats to change into or even wear for her entire wedding day. As for the second pair pictured. I love the pointed toe style, and I love that this classic black and white pair has been updated with a delicate ruffle detail.
At the core of the collection are twelve styles curated by the newest face of Pretty Ballerinas, Alessandra Ambrosio. Inspired by glamorous nights, and days of freshness and joy, the styles are a riotous explosion of beautiful colour, prints, and embellishments. Ursula Mascaro, the international designer behind the line, notes that “Alessandra Ambrosio shows that wearing Pretty Ballerinas flat can be as sexy and sophisticated as any high heels when posing for a photoshoot or walking the red carpet.”
The collection has started to release on the website {here} (they are currently offering free worldwide shipping) and will be available in boutiques when they’re able to safely open.
