With Fashion Month coming to a close with the Paris shows, the H&M Studio presentation held at the venerable Grand Palais was one of the early standouts of Paris Fashion Week. The collection is a perfect marriage of the masculine and the feminine with subtle hints of lace and silk paired with tailored menswear inspired pieces. Like many other runways this season, over the top fur (faux in this case) pieces like the amazing jacket above featured prominently in the collection. Clearly I’m a sucker for anything that will raise the eyebrows of my ever perplexed Darling Husband and cause confusion for customs agents ( see here and do scroll to the bottom for Darling Husband’s postscript) so I have a feeling this glorious yeti of a coat will be making its way to my closet come Fall.
H&M Studio, the new name for the fashion powerhouse’s seasonal collection of key pieces, is actually designed by its own team of independent designers. The limited-edition collection will be available in around 250 stores world-wide and will be composed of statement pieces and straight from the runway looks.
