The Fall 2014 collection from Herve Leger by Max Azria embraces the line’s classic bodycon shape constructed in their signature bandage material while still exuding a freshness. Before I go any further into how warrior chic this collection is, let me say that splurging on one of these dresses is actually totally worth it. You might be thinking that I’ve lost my Louboutins to be suggesting this but you’d be surprised how frequently I wear mine. They’re standout pieces on their own and they actually make a wonderful base for layering. As for the material, try as other designers might to duplicate it, there’s nothing like the original.
The Fall 2014 collection is a perfect melding of the lines signature sex appeal with a fierceness that’s worthy of a warrior queen. The woman who this collection was designed for is no simpering sexpot. From feathers and fur to intricate beading, the line retains its DNA while still feeling fresh and contemporary. I love how Lubov Azria played with the classic Herve Leger look with fringed skirts, heavy embellishment, and cage like waist cinchers.
