As I promised in my post detailing the stunning CHANEL Spring-Summer 2020 Pret-a-Porter collection last week, this Monday’s post will be dedicated to the incredible accessories that were also shown that day. I guarantee that you’ll be lusting over these beautiful pieces – I know I am! I’ll let the photos speak for themselves but a quick note on the collection…
The recently launched CHANEL 19 bag which has totally taken the fashion world by storm (and shot to the top of my personal CHANEL wish-list), was one of the standouts of the collection. Shown swathed in an elegant printed silk twill, it is the Spring-Summer take on the black and camel tweed version from the House’s current Fall-Winter collection that is undoubtably the “It Bag” of the season. As for the classic 11.12 and the flap bag, they are done in tweed and reimagined with a wrist bracelet or a braid in two-tone grosgrain ribbon respectively. Some of these classic styles are even detailed with beads set with chains or even sequinned embroideries with floral motifs. There are also darling little zip-up bags that are delightfully reminiscent of a schoolgirl’s pencil case, and are adorned with leather interlaced chain that spells out the CHANEL signature. Another charming style is the half-moon clutch that is as perfect for day as it is for evening.
As for bijoux, the more is more maxim reigns supreme. Pieces are layered and worn stacked and intertwined. There are pearl sautoirs and brooches, necklaces feature colored crystal or adorned with strass-covered balls, and cuff bracelets signed CHANEL PARIS. For shoes, there are elegant little sequined cap toed flats, and delicate jeweled low stacked heels. Finally, there are “CC” adorned jeweled belt, which are perfect for cinching the waist, and flowered and beribboned hats.
