Leave it to CHANEL’s Global Creative Make Up and Colour Designer Lucia Pica to create a bold and dynamic beauty look with only a handful of products. With the CHANEL Métiers d’Art Paris-New York collection being inspired by the opulence and regality of ancient Egypt and the frenetic energy of modern day New York, a striking beauty look was all but assured for the presentation. The foundation for the look was skin so luminous that it appeared lit from within. Lips and nails were clean and neutral with the emphasis of the look being the eyes. Pica created an updated cat eye that is both bold and linear, undoubtably inspired by the favoured eye makeup look of ancient Egypt so prized because of the association with feline divinity. It also beautifully echoes the primary sleek silhouette that is featured through-out the collection. As for hair, it was pulled back behind the ears with a wet texture that allowed the spectacular bijoux of the collection to reign supreme.
Make sure to scroll through for a detailed look at the products used, and a closer look at the application process. And if you’re feeling adventurous, this is a beauty look that will absolutely translate from runway to real life for a gorgeously a bold evening look.
