Once a year, the tony little seaside town of Cannes on the French Riviera becomes the epicenter of the entertainment industry thanks to the world famous Cannes Film Festival. From the famed red staircase of the main theatre and the Croisette, to the studded galas and dinners, during the festival, Cannes also becomes a 24 hour fashion show thanks to the celebrities and glittering guests who descend on the town. While the films are the main draw, the fashion is what always draws my attention. Since its earliest days, part of the allure of Cannes has been capturing the stars in all of their sartorial glory as they disembark from the yachts in port, lunch along the beach, and walk the Monteé des Marches. Hands down, my favorite designer to follow is the famed House of CHANEL. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite looks from the red-carpet and the amfAR gala to showcase the amazing work of this legendary label.
