The first show that I attended of New York Fashion Week was BCBGMAXAZRIA which was also the first large show of the season. There was a totally electric feeling before the show started with a buzzing crowd. On an unrelated note, American beauty Hilary Rhoda was seated front row across from me and she is easily one of the most achingly gorgeous women I have ever seen. Honestly, if the collection hadn’t been as good as it was I would have just spent the entire show staring at her.
Etherial and feminine, the Spring/Summer 2015 collection from BCBGMAXAZRIA was a dreamy mix of soft pastels and water-color like floral prints. While some pieces were structured and crisply tailored, the majority were fluid and elegantly draped lending themselves a dreamy quality. The collection felt like it bridged the gap between the classic and the contemporary.
