Happy fashion month darlings! While it might be the dead of winter and many of us are wishing for warmer months, the fashion world is looking forward with the F/W 15 collections. With the New York presentations kicking off a month-long procession of shows, I’ll be sharing a recap of the events I attended during my time at New York Fashion Week.
BCBGMAXAZRIA is always the first show I attend each season and it never fails to serve as the perfect opening to the week. Helmed by one of the most charming and down right adorable couples in fashion, Lubov and Max Azria continue to produce collections that maintain the brands embodiment of its founding motto: bon chic, bon genre. Inspired by the shores of the Baltic sea and the vibrancy of Barcelona, the collection features elegant neutrals and rich pops of Merlot and inky blacks and blues. With its luxe bohemian vibe, etherial dresses were layered with chunky knits and outerwear and separates were adorned with intricate embroidery. As a foil to the decidedly feminine pieces, slouchy over-the-knee boots and booties added the perfect touch of edge and modernity to the collection.
