You guys know I’m such a sucker for beautiful flowers. I always make a point of keeping cut flowers around the house and I’ll happily take any excuse to infuse my day with some extra floral beauty. Of course, what better way to incorporate flowers than in my beauty routine?! Known for its soothing properties and for being incredibly nourishing for the skin, the rose is more than just a gorgeous flower to enjoy visually. I’ve rounded up some of my favourite rose-based products for you to enjoy!
I first fell in love with Annik Goutal on a trip to Paris many, many years ago with my parents. I remember wandering into the jewel box of a boutique near the Musse D’Orsay on the Rue Bellechasse and falling in love with the hypnotic and intoxicating scents the legendary House is so famous for. While I could only convince my parents to purchase a little candle for me at the time, Rose Pompom has become one of my favourite scents since then. Complex and seductive, a little bit of this beautiful scent goes a long way and leaves a gorgeous and feminine fragrance wrapped around you.
This little pot has long been at the bottom of my purse and is one of my staple beauty items. It can be used in a variety of ways but I prefer to use it as a lip balm. Totally nourishing, it’s one of the few products that can combat the deep moisture sucking freeze that is the Canadian winter. The silky texture slides perfectly over chapped lips and instantly brings them back to life. But I love this year-round for keeping my lips smooth, and it adds the prettiest subtle gloss to my pout.
I’ve tried quite a few natural deodorants and until Agent Nateur, I had yet to find one that actually worked. While they all smelled amazing when first applied, I did not at the end of the day. After seeing Agent Nateur mentioned in both Elle and Vogue, I figured it was worth giving it a try and I am so thrilled that I did. Not only is this product totally clean, it smells amazing and actually works. I love that the company is female owned and is committed to creating luxurious natural products in a clean and ethical manner.
Origins Flower Fusion Rose Hydrating Sheet Mask
This mask is a full sensory treat. As wonderful as it is for your skin, it also totally delights with it’s fragrant rose scent. The mask itself is made from bamboo so its incredibly soft and is infused with rose to help boost moisture. I find my skin dewy and soft after using this, and I love that the scent, while not overwhelmingly strong, is fragrant enough where you feel fully immersed in soothing rose.
Dr. Hauschka Rose Nurturing Body Wash and Rose Nurturing Bath Essense
Another beauty line that I love that produces clean and luxurious products is Dr Hauschka. I’ve previously written about how much I love the line {check it out here} and these two products have only further cemented that love. Made with a captivating rose scent that is clean and pure, they turn bath and shower time into a full spa experience. 100% natural and organic, the brand has a serious commitment to producing products that are not only beautiful, but gentle on the skin and environment. From sourcing materials in an ethical and sustainable manner, to producing products in an environmentally conscious way, Dr. Hauschka is a line that left me seriously impressed from my first introduction.
Pixi Skintreats Rose Oil Blend Nourishing Face Oil
This face oil is downright magical when it comes to infusing your skin with major moisture. It smells as if you’ve fallen face first into a rose field in Grasse and is perfect for nourishing even the most tired and sensitive skin. From cult favourite and clean beauty powerhouse PIXI, it’s guaranteed to work wonders and not hurt your bank balance.
This is a wonderful and gentle toner that is frequently part of my morning skin care routine. I love that it’s alcohol free and gentle, yet still effective. The subtle rose scent is pretty, and a wonderful sensory experience to start your day with.
