What better way to take on a massive rain storm then in 5 inch Louboutin booties? Throw in a delicate lace blouse, and call me prepared. Silly…yes, but at least I remembered the umbrella. For all of my readers on the East Coast of the States, hope you all are safe, sound and dry!
You’ve probably noticed that I’m a big fan of mixing high and low at this point. I’m a huge proponent of investing my money in classic pieces for my wardrobe that will last well beyond the season. A well made bag or shoes will last you years if you take care of them. I have shoes in my wardrobe that are over 10 years old! I lie…I have shoes that are over 40 plus years old! My grandmother’s Halston kitten heels are still holding on strong after years of loving use and wear. Regular re-heeling and re-soleing by a good cobbler adds years of life to your shoes. The same goes for clothing. When spending your hard earned money, invest in classic pieces that will integrate themselves in to your closet for seasons to come. For trendy items, stores like Forever 21 and H&M are great. What are you willing to invest in for your closet? Are you a shoe person….or are bags your poison?
