During one of my first visits to Montreal to visit Darling Husband, he made the mistake of taking me to a little boutique in Westmount called Pretty Ballerinas. It was love at first sight for me as soon as I walked into this jewel box of a store and since then, I’ve amassed quite the collection of shoes from this amazing brand. Handmade in Spain, these are not only some of the most comfortable shoes I own but also some of the most beautiful. From elegant little ballet flats to menswear inspired oxfords and even sneakers and boots, there’s a Pretty Ballerinas style for every taste. Much to Darling Husband’s chagrin, there’s even infant and little girl’s styles as well. Between you and I darlings, I’m counting the days till I can pickup matching mummy and me pairs for madam and I.
It’s been almost 7 years since that first visit to Pretty Ballerinas and now I actually live only a few blocks from their Westmount boutique. This most likely accounts for the tower of their signature pink boxes that are currently stacked under Darling Husband’s dress-shirts in the closet. My frequent visits to “just say hi” have resulted in an ever-growing collection, and these beautiful little pompom topped ballerinas are my latest acquisition. I first fell in love with them during the press preview a few months ago and when they finally arrived in store, I scooped them up right away.
