It was recently brought to my attention by one of you darlings that my outfit was far from appropriate for the current Canadian climate. To this I say, I agree. In fact, I think my current cold is directly related to my coat-less outdoor outfit photos. Let me also say, Darling Fiance is feeling rather vindicated right now. Pretty much since the snow started, he’s been telling me to put a coat on when taking outdoor photos. My arguments have alternated between “who wants to see outfit photos of the same handful of coats?!” and “the coat defeats the outfit!” As much as I stand firm behind my arguments, I have to admit this cold is reaaallllly not fun. I feel like I’m about to float away from all the green tea I’ve been guzzeling. As for the Canadian wonder drug Buckleys, all I can say is ickypoo! That being said, here’s an infinitely more appropriate set of photos showing off yet another one of my purchases from Lyla. Like the pants from the Betty Draper post, this RED Valentino peacoat has my favorite signature bow on it. The bow detail really brings a wonderful feminine touch to the classic peacoat.
Peacoat: RED Valentino

[box type=”info”] Comments from Darling Fiance: Last week, Jess had a cold… I bought her some cold medicine, took off from work early to take care of her… I even made her chicken soup… from SCRATCH! And guess what! She got better by Friday! Then, when we went to take some more photos for the blog over the weekend, she refused (i.e., kicked, screamed, stomped and pouted) to put on a coat. So, I sat down with the camera in my hands and refused to take any more pictures until she put one on. But, regrettably, I was too late and she caught ANOTHER cold. So, for those wonderful readers who decide to post a comment, I would ask you to please include the following in your comment (just as a reminder): “JESS! IT’S CANADA. IT’S WINTER IN CANADA. PUT ON A COAT!”[/box]
