There are only a few more weeks until I’m back in one of my favourite cities with one of my favourite people! Last year, my mum and I decided to book a last minute trip for just the two of us to Paris. It was so much fun to reintroduce my mum to a city that I’ve come to love so much. She’d been previously, but it had been quite a while since she had been back. We spent our trip exploring, eating, shopping, and just enjoying being together.
I count myself very lucky to have an incredible relationship with my parents. Not only are they my parents, I count them as my friends. As an only child, I’ve had the privilege of pretty much having my parents’ undivided attention, and from that grew a relationship with my mum and dad that I find so very special.
Of course, one of my must do activities for us was commemorating our special trip with a photoshoot with the incredible Olga of OK Photos. Having previously shot with Olga when Darling Husband and I took Madam to Paris, I knew she would be the perfect person to work with to capture some fabulous memories. And perfect she was! I can’t tell you how much I adore these photos that she captured of my mum and I wandering around Ile Saint Louis and taking in the freshly-bloomed Cherry Blossoms beside Notre Dame.
Since we had such an amazing time last year, we’ve decided to turn this into a yearly tradition and are heading back to Paris at the beginning of this April. We’ll be checking into the Ritz Paris once more, visiting even more museums, getting some quality shopping in, and of course, capturing some more memories with Olga. We’re even taking a pastry making class! Needless to say, I can’t wait!
