Launched in 2022, N°1 DE CHANEL is CHANEL’s groundbreaking beauty collection that merges science, nature, and sustainability. Harnessing the incredible power of the red camellia, the line is comprised of skincare, makeup, and body-care items like fragrance and a body-mist. With the line, CHANEL takes a holistic approach to the products making them effective and enjoyable with a full sensory experience. N°1 DE CHANEL is also the culmination of a decade of research in collaboration with the University of Vienna into the incredible revitalizing benefits of red camellia flower extract. The Sensorial Analysis Department from the CHANEL Neuroscience Department has also dedicated decades to ensuring that CHANEL products are not only beneficial, but also enjoyable to use.
Needless to say, I was very excited when N°1 DE CHANEL launched last year. Having now used a few products from the line for a little while now, I’m even more excited about it. I’ve rounded up a few favourites below and shared just why I’m loving them. Now, to try the makeup offerings!
RED CAMELLIA REVITALIZING POWDER-TO-FOAM CLEANSER
This has quickly become one of my favourite everyday cleansers. An ultra-fine powder, when it comes in contact with water it becomes a soft and gentle cleansing foam. With an ultra creamy formula infused with camellia extract and oil, it gently lifts impurities and comforts the skin. I love how the skin is left feeling ultra clean and luminous without feeling stripped or dried out. Between the smart packaging design (the cap swivels off instead of being unscrewed), and the powder consistency of the cleanser, it also makes it an ideal product for travel.
RED CAMELLIA REVITALIZING ESSENCE LOTION
One of the newest launches in the N°1 DE CHANEL universe, it’s an amazing nursing and anti-aging product that will perfectly fit into your skincare routine. Enriched with camellia water and niacinamide, it helps revive the skin’s youthful glow and reduce the signs of aging. Made up of 96% naturally derived ingredients, it’s the perfect balance of science and nature. It’s water-like gel texture is super soothing and incredibly hydrating. My skin totally drinks this up!
RED CAMELLIA REVITALIZING BODY SERUM-IN-MIST
Another amazing new launch within the N°1 DE CHANEL line, this is a nourishing, toning, and protecting body mist. This alcohol-free formula is packed with camellia-derived ingredients and can be applied to the body day and night. This super nourishing mist acts as a full body toner to preserve the skin’s appearance and revitalize it. It has such a refreshing sensation and scent, and I’ve loved adding this as the final step in my body-care routine after showering. I also love that it has a very light-weight feel on the skin and that it absorbs beautifully.
