For my third and final night of Montreal Fashion Week, I attended the Mulcair presentation that was organized by 1Milk2Sugars. I have to say Montreal Fashion Week was a wonderful experience for me both as a new Montrealer and a fashion devotee. I was highly impressed by the quality of the designers and the shows themselves, in addition to the stunning venue, Marche Bonesecours.
Mulcair was by far my favorite collection. Designer Julia Bennett is a Parson graduate who spent her formative years between Montreal and Paris. During her time at Parsons, she interned with Vena Cava and upon her graduation launched Mulcair. The line simply oozes elagance and sophistication but at the same time, it is accessible and can be worn everyday. Bennett has a fine attention to detail, utilizing gorgeous materials and refined finishes. Since the models were staged on small platforms, attendees were given the opportunity to really get a feel for Bennett’s collection and her meticulous attention to detail. This was the perfect way to close my first Fashion Week here in Montreal and needles to say, I’ve already started putting together my wish list of pieces from the latest Mulcair collection.
Once again, a HUGE thank you to all of the lovely ladies at 1Milk2Sugars PR! It was such a pleasure to work with you and even more of a pleasure to chat with you!
