I’m so excited to share with you the latest addition to WestmountFashionista’s shopping guide, the Montblanc boutique in Carrefour Laval. This jewel of a boutique offers a perfectly curated selection of some of Montblanc’s most gorgeous pieces ranging from their iconic pens to fine men’s and women’s jewelry. The staff is charming, incredibly knowledgeable, and pay oodles of attention to only providing the finest service to their clients. I popped by this past Sunday with Darling Fiance to check out the gorgeous store and chat with Sandrine Bohbot, the delightful Director of Business Development of MSD Luxury (the company who brought Montblanc to Quebec and are behind the Laval location). Her passion for the brand is infectious to say the least, and it’s something that has clearly been passed on to the staff as well. I’m so excited to see gorgeous luxury brands like Montblanc coming to Quebec. It’s wonderful to see Montreal continue to develop as the great fashion city that we all know it is. Montblanc is synonymous with the worlds most luxurious pens but it actually encompasses many more items, what type of pieces can one expect to find in the Carrefour Laval location?
Since it’s establishment Montblanc has been known as a maker of exceptional, sophisticated writing instruments. In the past few years, the product range has expanded to include exquisite luxury leather goods and belts, jewellery, watches, eyewear, and fragrances. The boutique allows for one to explore the different categories of products and discover how diversified Montblanc has become.
What services are offered through the location?
Our boutique has an on-site technician for customer service and repairs. We also offer a unique personalized service through engraving and embossing of our products. Another unique service offered by our boutique is our corporate gifting collection. Montblanc has mastered the art of giving by creating a unique collection for the corporate world. Our boutique offers a tailored service for our corporate customers.
Would you mind telling us a little about MSD Luxury and how you came to be the first Montblanc franchise in Quebec?
MSD Luxury was created by Michael Delouya in 2010. With over 15 years of experience working for his family’s jewellery business, Michael has always been very passionate about the Montblanc brand. His family’s business, Bijouterie Joel, has partnered with Montblanc for over 30 years and has seen the brand evolve into an internationally renowned luxury brand. Michael’s passion for the brand has translated into a Montblanc Franchise boutique in the same location his family’s business, Bijouterie Joel, had occupied for almost 40 years.
What are your favorite pieces for men right now?
The Meisterstuck Canvas collection of briefcases and wallets are good choices for the modern men. The Nicolas Rieussec automatic watch with a black alligator strap is a timepiece like none other. The silver woven leather bracelets for men are one of the most popular pieces this season.
What are your favorite pieces for women?
Of course, the Grace Kelly writing instruments is a heritage piece. It is a collectors item that will pass on from mother to daughter. The Fine Jewellery collection is breathtaking. Especially the white gold diamond rings,they are truly unique and definitely a favourite. The Diary & Notes from the Boheme collection are classic pieces and very suitable for any corporate woman.
