Sunday evening Darling Boyfriend and I went to see the new Woody Allen movie Midnight in Paris. The film takes place in Paris and highlights the unbelievable beauty and charm of the city. Owen Wilson is a Hollywood writer who is dissatisfied with his career and is attempting to write a novel. In an attempt to finnish his novel, he finds inspiration in the streets of Paris, wishing to harken back to the vibrant literary and art scene of 1920s Paris much to the chagrin of his overbearing fiancee and her wealthy parents. Each night he wanders the streets and is transported to what he views as the golden age, the Paris of Gertrude Stein, Ernest Hemingway, Zelda and F. Scott Fizgerald and Pablo Picasso. Not only did I fall in love with this excellent movie (do yourself a favour and see it) but it made me miss Paris. I’ve had the luck to travel to Paris a few times and each time I visit I fall more and more in love with the city. Here are some of my favorite pictures of the city that never fails to enchant me from the last time I was there. What city makes you fall in love with a little bit more each time your there?
