This LoveShackFancy X Target is giving me all the princess vibes and I am so very here for it. I love a good floral print, especially on a sundress. I know, you’re probably thinking of the oh so famous quote from the Devil Wears Prada. “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.” And while the withering words spoken by the character Miranda Priestly with such contempt couldn’t be more accurate, I really do adore a beautiful floral print. Especially for spring. There’s something so easy yet still pretty and polished about a lovely floral print. Pulling out a floral print sundress is like a sartorial signal that the cold winter weather has been banished and warmer days have arrived.
This feminine floral sundress is from the wildly successful LoveShackFancy X Target collaboration that came out last summer and pretty much instantly sold out online. Lucky for me, I convinced my very sweet and indulgent parents to head to their local Target on launch day to shop for me since Target’s foray into the Canadian market was woefully short lived. As can be expected with the Target designer collaborations, the fabrics and quality aren’t at the standard of the designer’s main line. However, I was really impressed with the quality of the pieces my parents were able to snag for me. Of the three dresses they picked up for me, this is the most wearable for day-to-day however the other two are truly beautiful and give off even more romantic princess vibes. I love that this one in particular looks just as great with a pair of flats like a white sneaker or simple sandal but can also be dressed up with a heel.
