This post is sponsored by Aveeno and Schick, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m so thrilled to have teamed up with Aveeno and Schick to share some of my favorite ways to pamper myself at home that I just know you’ll love as well. Between being a wife, mum, friend, and running WestmountFashionista, I have a fair amount on my plate. As a result, like many other women, it’s sometimes hard to find the time to focus on myself. While I love having a busy and fulfilling life, I find it so invaluable to carve out time during the week to treat myself. From taking the time to read and enjoy a cup of tea to soaking in a warm bath and enjoying at-home beauty care and treatments or even getting in a workout at the gym, partaking in these little everyday luxuries never fails to leave me feeling rested and rejuvenated. It’s so important for us to take the time to focus on ourselves and enjoy that time spent nourishing our minds, bodies, and spirits.
With Darling Husband’s schedule being pretty intense, he really relishes the time that he has when he’s at home with madam. He loves getting in as much quality daddy-daughter time as possible, which makes for the perfect time for me to indulge in my favorite selfcare routine: a nice long bath followed by curling up with a good book. Bath time is the perfect way to totally pamper yourself, and I love incorporating different beauty treatments into this. From face and hair masks to bubbles and bodywashes, there are so many great ways to turn your bathroom into your own personal day spa. One product that I really love is the AVEENO Positively Radiant Exfoliating Body Wash. It gently exfoliates leaving my skin soft, smooth, and wonderfully moisturized, and with a subtly sweet scent, it’s also both incredibly refreshing and calming.
Of course bathtime is also the perfect time to make sure my legs are sundress ready now that warm weather has finally arrived. After years of stealing Darling Husband’s razor, I’ve finally come to realize that having the proper products makes a big difference. To prep my legs, I use Skintimate Skin Therapy Shave Gel to reduce irritation and help ensure a smooth shave. But I actually rotate between a few different razors. The Schick Intuition f.a.b. is awesome in that it lets you safely shave forwards and backwards thanks to its unique bi-directional blades which I find especially useful around the knee caps. I also really love the Schick Hydro Silk TrimStyle razor, thanks to the water activated Hydra-Boost Moisturizing Serum around the blade that is both hypoallergenic and clinically proven to provide additional moisturizing to the skin. This razor even has a built-in waterproof bikini trimmer that comes with four settings and can be used in or out of the shower or bath.
