I admit, this dress looks like an updated version of something found in an episode of Little House on the Prairie but there’s something so delightfully feminine and summery about it. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s perfectly suited to twirling about or possibly it’s the delicate ruffles on the hem. Either way, this Betsey Johnson dress is one of my favorite summer pieces. As for the necklace, it’s a wonderful and quirky take on a traditional cameo. Instead of the typical classical depiction of a woman, it’s her slightly bitchy looking counterpart smoking a dramatic cigarette holder. It’s a handmade piece that I picked up when I was working as a buyer for a Washington DC based boutique but I can’t for the life of me recall who the designer was.
