For the Spring-Summer 2021 beauty collection from CHANEL, Lucia Pica, in collaboration with the CHANEL Makeup Creation Studio, has presented LES FLEURS DE CHANEL. Honouring the floral world, LES FLEURS DE CHANEL draws inspiration from the striking tones of camellias, one of CHANEL’s most beloved and important House symbols, as well as anthuriums, peonies, irises, pansies, carnations, and sweet peas. The collection is a beautiful representation of the CHANEL world – one that embraces duality. LES FLEURS DE CHANEL is light and luminous, warm and cool, and, subtle and striking. Bold reds and oranges pair prettily with subtle pinks and earth tones for a collection that is a celebration of spring florals and the optimism that always seem to bring.
Complexion
Arguably, one of the stars of LES FLEURS DE CHANEL is FLEURS DE PRINTEMPS. A stunning palette that contains a satiny peach highlighter and a luminous pink coral blush, it is embossed with a stunning floral pattern that honours the floral inspiration of the collection. Perfect for sculpting the face, it gives the skin an appearance of a gentle sun-kissed luminosity.
Application tip: For a healthy glow, apply blush high on the cheeks and highlighter on the cheekbones, or on the areas where you wish to attract light. Or, try mixing the shades together with a brush. For a fresh, sun-kissed effect, sweet the brush along the bridge of the nose and the places where the sun naturally hits the face.
EYES
A striking addition to the collection, LE VOLUME DE CHANEL, 120 Metal Terracotta is a metallic rosy and coppery brown. With shimmering copper sparkles, it brings out the tones of roses, coppery, and burnt brown eye looks beautifully.
Application tip: Terracotta is great to bring out any eye colour, but it is particularly effective for blue and green eyes. Apply LE VOLUME DE CHANEL mascara in Metal Terracotta to the lashes. The colour and texture will match the rest of the makeup look. Another option is to wear Metal Terracotta only on the bottom lashes with a black or brown shade on the top lashes, or just to brighten up the tips of the lashes.
LIPS
For lips, the floral inspiration of LES FLEURS DE CHANEL is realized in the form of bright colours that are as vibrant and radiant as the blooms that inspired the collection. There are two additions to the ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE line. 73 Invincible is a stunning true red while 77 Dark Blossom is a metallic reddish aubergine. Within the ROUGE ALLURE VELVET EXTRÊME line there is 134 Pivoine Noir {pictured in this post}, a beautiful dusty berry red, and Éclosion, a warm coral.
Application tips: ROUGE ALLURE LAQUE. Apply with the included applicator: use the flat side to apply the colour and the tip to define the lips. If there is excess product on the tip, you can gently wipe it off. ROUGE ALLURE VELVET EXTRÊME. Apply straight from the bullet, leaving the edges soft, or use a lip brush for more precision and a defined line. Apply with PINCEAU OMBREUR ROND N°204 for a blurred edge and more feminine look. Try wearing Pivoine Noire with Éclosion in the middle for a two-tone colour gradation.

NAILS
For nails, there are three ultra feminine and totally elegant colours to choose from. First, 833 Pensée, a soft romantic peach and then the bold 887 Metallic Bloom {pictured in this post}, a metallic red with beautiful depth, and 885 Anthurium, a light raspberry red.
