Nestled in the heart of Montreal’s garment district, 555 Chabanel houses more than 126 showrooms featuring designers from all over the world that make up Le Centre International de Mode de Montreal. Last week, I was invited to attend an exhibition and fashion show featuring designers like Ted Baker, Betsey Johnson, Ginger, Alice Arthur, and more held during Market Week there. Much like the runway shows being held from February into March, Market Weeks around the world offer industry insiders insight into the trends and styles that will be seen during the coming season. What I loved about this event was the ability to get up-close with the garments, to feel materials and see the quality and detail of the pieces.
