I’m not going to lie, this jean skirt and brown boots look has been one of my favourites from this Fall/Winter. I find that while it’s relatively casual, it’s still quite polished. I also love how the heel height of the boots isn’t too high but still gives an extra bit of length to the leg. The look is also the perfect example of my love of mixing high quality investment pieces with more affordable trendy items. The coat is by Lamarque and the alpaca sweater is from Demande Generale, two amazing high quality Canadian brands. The two trendy pieces, the bag and the boots, are Vivorosa and were totally budget friendly. While I love the Bottega pouch that this wallet friendly version is based on, I’m don’t personally find investing in a rather trendy style worth it for me knowing my opinion and trends can, and will, easily change. Especially with designer bags, I lean towards the classic knowing that these styles will stand the test of time. Also, the resale value for classic styles are always higher than trendy items. While I always invest in bags that I not only love and intend to keep, it is nice to know that if I ever were to decide to sell one it would be a quality return on my purchase.
