When I saw this houndstooth skirt suit on the Dynamite website, I knew I had to scoop it up. I’ve been so impressed with the quality of the sets that Dynamite has been producing the past few seasons. They’ve really nailed the styling of them and the quality and price point is totally spot on as well. A great set like this is such a wonderful buy because of how versatile it can be. Obviously, the pieces pair perfectly together but they are also easily styled as separates. I can already tell this skirt in particular is going to be on major rotation in my looks this fall. It will also look wonderful paired with a chunky knit and my CHANEL combat boots.
Another thing that drew me to this houndstooth skirt suit was that it looked like it was right out of the closet of Fran Fine, my favourite fictional character. When I tell you I was, and admittedly still am, obsessed with the 90s sitcom The Nanny, it’s honestly a bit of an understatement. It will forever be one of my comfort shows that I can watch on repeat indefinitely. Even as a young teen, I envied the fictional Ms. Fine’s wardrobe. Know for chic little skirt suits and her love of leopard print, she had the best style on primetime TV. I remember coming across the exact style of Moschino skirt suit that Fran Drescher wore as Fran Fine in a designer resale boutique in the early 2000s. Needless to say, it came home with me that day and is still one of my most treasured looks in my wardrobe.
