A very happy holidays to you and yours darlings! We’ve been in our new place for almost a year now and it’s been so much fun to turn it into a home. From finding just the right light fixture for over the dining table (that was a quite the odyssey!), to the perfect print for the drapes in madam’s bedroom, I’ve been so enjoying the design process. While there’s still a fair amount to do, I wanted to style the main living area for the holidays to give it a nice festive feel. Our condo is very modern, with an open floor plan with the gorgeous views of the Saint Laurence River and oodles of natural light. My taste has typically run very traditional, but I have to say I really love the clean modern aesthetic of our space. However, for the holidays I very much wanted to add a little bit of traditional charm, and thanks to Linen Chest it was not only totally easy, but totally fun. This wonderful Montreal based homewares store has 28 locations throughout Quebec, Ontario, and the Maritimes plus a website that takes care of your shopping needs with total ease. I love that the store carries a extensive range of products and lines, at a wide array of price points for virtually all of your homeware needs.
I set our table with a mix of two beautiful Kate Spade china patterns and the sweetest Kate Sade glassware. With gold flatware, beautiful natural toned linens, festive accent pieces, and some beautiful red roses, it gave a feminine yet holiday-perfect look. A few cozy pillows and a plush throw brought warmth and charm to the rest of the living room, making it a perfect space to curl up with madam and a good book.
As for my hostess look, this Joe Fresh lace top and silver trimmed pants make for an elegant yet relaxed outfit wonderfully suited for an afternoon or evening of entertaining. And for those who are interested in scooping them up for themselves, Joe Fresh is currently running an amazing sale. Happy holidays and happy shopping darlings!
