For the past decade, the Guerlain Abeille Royale skin care line has distinguished itself with its efficacy and luxuriousness. As someone who is not only totally and utterly skin care obsessed, but also incredible picky about the products I use, I had had my eye on testing out the line after reading and hearing many a glowing and gushing review. The line utilizes honey for its anti-bacterial properties and royal jelly as a superfood to nourish the skin.
Quite fortuitously, I was invited to discover the line. Having now experienced Guerlain Abeille Royale, I can add my own glowing review to the legion of existing accolades.
It’s also worth noting that Guerlain is deeply committed to being the most sustainable luxury house – they keep the highest standards in how they source materials and how they produce products. The honey and royal jelly that are key ingredients in the line are all sourced sustainably and ethically. They also partner with UNESCO to maintain and promote these standards.
STEP 1
Fortifying Lotion
Comprised of 98% naturally derived ingredients, the Fortifying Lotion is the first step in this streamlined yet highly effective routine. Like with the other products in the routine, it can be used day or night. I like to put a few drops in the palm of my hand, rub my hands together to warm the lotion, and then gently press it into my face. This first step fortifies the skin and helps rebalance and reset.
STEP 2
Youth Watery Oil
I’m not surprised that the Youth Watery Oil is one of Guerlain’s best selling products. Utilizing honey and royal jelly, it heals and repairs the skin and is amazing for anti-aging. It has the richness of an oil and the power of a serum, and is good for all skin types and ages. It immediately leaves the skin looking smooth and plump – especially when massaged into the face.
STEP 3
Double R – Renew & Repair Serum
The Double R – Renew and Repair Serum directly addresses loss of skin elasticity and firmness, wrinkles, large pores, skin imperfections, and dull skin. Gentle yet effective, it promotes the repairing and renewal of the skin through its soft peel formula. Utilizing honey, royal jelly, and AHAs it’s the perfect marriage of science and nature and packs a serious skin perfecting punch.
