This past Sunday was Greek Easter which meant oodles of yummy food and lots of great quality time with Darling Fiance’s family. It also marked the last day of freedom before my packed week of exams and papers started, bringing this semester to a close. This great full skirt is another leftover from my brief foray into corporate America, paired with this striped top and prim Louboutin heels, the skirt is transformed from business casual to everyday appropriate. As for the delicate necklace that you see in these photos and many of my other outfit photos, you could call it my version of the “Carrie” necklace from Sex and he City. The ‘oui” collection from Christian Dior is an understated assortment of feminine and delicate pieces of jewelry and for me, it was lust at first sight. The collection is a bit of a departure from the other more opulent fine jewelry collections that have launched the fabled fashion house’s foray in to the world of high priced gems. When I came across the “oui” collection, I had been looking for a delicate necklace that I could wear everyday, something that could be dressed up or down and this dainty little bauble fit the bill perfectly. Pop on over to the Christian Dior website for some serious jewelry eye candy if ever you’re in the mood for a little pick me up. Headed by the revered jewelry designer, Victoire de Castellane, Dior Joaillerie has been producing some of the most jaw dropping pieces since 1998. With collections inspired by poisonous flowers to the fine detailing found in couture, de Castellane’s creations are unrivaled.
