FENDI has recently released its latest addition to the Baguette Friends Forever Series that highlights one of the Italian luxury house’s most iconic bags, the Fendi Baguette. FENDI: The BAGUETTE DANCE, is a playful and artistic celebration of the Fendi Baguette through film and video.
FENDI: The BAGUETTE DANCE features five rhythmic gymnasts from The Paris Center as they showcase their incredible talents while highlighting the iconic Fendi baguette. Along with the five gymnasts, there are also 5 soft FF logo embossed leather baguettes in black, yellow, pink, light blue, and red. The gymnasts are also dressed in custom Fendi designed competition uniforms.
The FENDI Baguette was first released by the House in 1997. Designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the brand’s creative director of accessories and a direct descendent of Adele and Edoardo Fendi who founded Fendi in 1927. Venturini Fendi was inspired by her grandmother’s collection of beaded bags from the 20s and 30s and launched the bag to great acclaim. Since the Baguette’s launch, it’s been one of the most popular handbag styles not just for Fendi but on the entire luxury handbag market. Done in a multitude of fabrications like leather, denim, cashmere, and even fur, there is a style that hits almost anyone’s sartorial sweet spot. Fendi has even partnered with some of the most notable contemporary artists like Jeff Koons, Damien Hurst, and Francesco Vezzoli to create one of a kind baguettes.
