Fall In Love with Tiffany & Co.

February 9, 2015

In honor of Valentine’s Day this coming Saturday, I’ve partnered with Tiffany & Co. to bring you articles that are dedicated to all things romantic and sparkly this week. Be prepared for oodles of gorgeous baubles and diamonds galore. Pretty much my idea of perfection and hopefully yours too.

It goes without saying that for many, Valentine’s Day is one of the most romantic times of the year and for some, it may even bring an engagement ring. The Quebec Tiffany & Co. flagship location in Montreal is truly a jewel-box of a boutique and when their phenomenal team invited me in for an exclusive opportunity to discover their iconic fine jewelry pieces, I jumped at the chance. I met with Lilla Amar, one of their sales professionals who specializes in working with couples to find the perfect ring and bridal jewelry and had the opportunity to experience her luxury service. Passionate and incredibly knowledgeable, Lilla guided me through the process and shared her years of fine jewelry experienced with me. From the initial engagement ring and eventual wedding band to the perfect bridal jewelry and grooms gift, Lilla expertly guided me through the classic Tiffany & Co. jewelry collections and contemporary additions.

For my own wedding day {check out my recap here}, I wore heirloom pieces that had been passed down from my grandmother to my mother and now on to me. The earrings I wore had actually been gifted to her by my grandfather on their wedding day over a half a century ago. I love the idea of wearing jewelry for such a special occasion that has such significant sentimental value. A piece from Tiffany & Co. is not only a wonderful investment (their pieces are known for not only holding their value but also have the potential for increasing their value over time), it is also sure to become a priceless family heirloom.

My best piece of advice for picking the perfect piece of jewelry for your wedding day that will transition into family heirloom is to stick to classic and elegant pieces. However, the most important thing is for you to truly fall in love with the piece. It will be something you wear on one of the most special days of your life and will be an item that will hopefully elicit special memories for you for many years to come. And as for the ever popular grooms-gift, I gifted Darling Husband with an elegant pair of formal gold cufflinks. However, you can never go wrong with a beautiful watch like the Swiss made timepiece below.
