Our recent spring break stay at COMO Parrot Cay was everything we had hoped for and more. One of the things we appreciated most was how easy the journey was from Montreal. The direct Air Canada flight made travel simple and stress-free, especially as a family traveling with Madam for spring break. Upon arrival in Turks & Caicos, we were warmly greeted at the airport by a member of the COMO Parrot Cay team before being escorted to the resort’s private welcome dock via private SUV transfer.
The private dock and welcome center immediately set the tone for the week ahead. Elegant yet inviting, guests are welcomed with chilled water, warm tea, and fresh fruit while waiting for the boat transfer to the island. From the very beginning, there is a clear sense that guest experience is thoughtfully prioritized.
Because COMO Parrot Cay is situated on its own private island just off the coast of the main island of Turks & Caicos, the property immediately feels especially serene and exclusive. The separation from the mainland creates a true sense of escape and calm that becomes more noticeable with each passing day.
Once we arrived at Parrot Cay, we were greeted warmly and driven through the lush island grounds to check in. Our room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable for our family of three. One of our favorite features was the expansive terrace, which allowed Darling Husband and I to relax in the warm Caribbean evening air after tucking Madam into bed each night.
That said, next time we would absolutely consider booking one of the beachside villas for the additional space, private pool, and butler service. None of these felt necessary to enjoy the property, but they would certainly elevate an already exceptional experience even further.

The food at COMO Parrot Cay was truly a standout and exceeded all expectations. Many of the fruits and vegetables are grown directly on the island, and there is a strong emphasis on fresh, seasonal, whole ingredients that celebrate Caribbean flavors while incorporating global influences.
There are two main dinner restaurants on the property: Lotus, which offers Asian-inspired cuisine, and the Terrace, which focuses on Italian-inspired dishes. Both restaurants were excellent and provided distinct dining experiences throughout the week.
One evening, the resort hosted an elevated Caribbean-inspired beach BBQ that perfectly balanced refined luxury with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. It felt festive and relaxed while still maintaining the polished service and attention to detail the resort is known for. Wonderful live music added to the atmosphere and made the evening feel especially memorable beneath the Caribbean night sky.
Breakfast each morning was a highlight. The buffet spread featured gorgeous tropical fruits, fresh baked breads and pastries, sweet and savory offerings, and made-to-order eggs, pancakes, waffles, and crepes.
For lunch, guests can dine at the beachside restaurant and bar, though we especially enjoyed ordering lunch directly to our poolside cabana and lingering by the water throughout the afternoon.
For those seeking more wellness-focused dining options, the COMO Shambhala Kitchen menu is available throughout the day and offers delicious, mindful dishes that still feel satisfying and indulgent.
Darling Husband was also very impressed by the cocktail program and extensive wine and spirits list.
Wellness and Activities
One of the things that makes COMO Parrot Cay feel particularly special is how seamlessly wellness is integrated into the experience.
The family infinity pool is absolutely stunning and positioned directly along the beach with breathtaking views of the white sand and turquoise water. The beach itself feels expansive, peaceful, and never overcrowded.
Complimentary water sports including stand-up paddle boarding and ocean canoes are available for guests, and the resort can also arrange private boat charters and fishing excursions.
For guests who enjoy tennis, COMO Parrot Cay also features professional-level tennis courts that can be enjoyed throughout your stay. The resort has even hosted immersive tennis experiences with some of the top talents in the sport, including Carlos Alcaraz, winner of major tournaments including Wimbledon Championships and French Open. Experiences like these further reinforce the thoughtful, elevated nature of the programming offered throughout the property.
One of our favorite daily rituals quickly became afternoon tea. Every afternoon, we would stop by to pick up tea along with freshly baked sweet treats to bring back to our room while relaxing after a day at the beach before heading to dinner.
Madam and I also enjoyed a private yoga class in the resort’s beautiful open-air yoga pavilion. Listening to the gentle rustle of the surrounding greenery and feeling the Caribbean breeze while practicing made the experience feel incredibly peaceful and grounding.
I also took a private Pilates session that was phenomenal. The instructor was excellent, and the session incorporated a variety of apparatus including the reformer, chair, and Cadillac. The fitness pavilion itself is wonderfully equipped with everything needed for a comprehensive workout, and complimentary group yoga, Pilates, and stretch classes are offered daily.
The spa at COMO Parrot Cay was another major highlight of the trip. I enjoyed an absolutely decadent massage, and the spa environment itself was serene, beautiful, and impeccably maintained. The level of service throughout the resort, including the spa, was consistently exceptional.
Another unexpected highlight of the trip quickly became the evening star gazing. Because there are no major towns or cities surrounding the property, the night sky is remarkably clear. We were genuinely blown away by how many stars and planets we could see so vividly each evening. Walking back to our room after dinner while looking up at the night sky became one of our favorite quiet family rituals during the trip.
COMO Parrot Cay as a Family Resort
While COMO Parrot Cay is undeniably a luxury property, what makes it especially memorable is how warm and welcoming it feels for families.
Madam absolutely loved the kids club, which offers an incredibly thoughtful and varied schedule of activities for children of all ages. Some of her favorite activities included creating a tie-dye shirt, learning origami using palm fronds from the garden, and participating in a fishing excursion focused on local marine life.
The facilities themselves were beautiful, well-maintained, and extremely well staffed. Activities rotate throughout the week, keeping everything engaging and fresh for returning young guests while also incorporating local culture, wildlife, flora, and fauna into the programming.
The week after our stay, the resort was even hosting space-themed programming with a retired NASA astronaut, which gives a wonderful sense of how thoughtfully curated the children’s experiences are.
Madam was also a huge fan of the children’s dining options, which were varied, nutritious, fresh, and genuinely kid-friendly without feeling overly processed or simplistic.
Final Thoughts
COMO Parrot Cay is not an all-inclusive resort, though guests can choose between full board, half board, or à la carte dining options. For our family, the half board option worked perfectly. Having breakfast and dinner included allowed us to enjoy leisurely multi-course evening meals while keeping lunch lighter and more flexible during pool and beach days.
This is the ideal property for travelers seeking relaxed luxury and thoughtful hospitality. It works beautifully for families, couples, solo wellness-focused travelers, or even a girls’ getaway centered around rest and rejuvenation.
If you are looking for the highly social, high-energy atmosphere often associated with large all-inclusive resorts, this may not be the right fit.
