I find that riding boots are the perfect foil for knee-socks. Even when worn with a dress, they keep you from looking like a Gossip Girl extra (the early years, when Blair reigned supreme Queen B on the steps of the Met) or like a bad Lolita reference. As for these knee-socks, I scooped them up from one of my favorite Westmount boutiques Courval Lingerie. Imported from Italy, they’re one of the few items in my wardrobe that are both functional and fashionable. Quelle surprise!
