One of the most anticipated hotel openings in Paris in the last few years was the Cheval Blanc Paris. Part of the Cheval Blanc family of luxury hotels, the Parisian outpost joins the St-Tropez, St-Barth, Randelhi, and Courchevel properties. Overlooking the Seine and Paris’s oldest bridge, the Pont Neuf, the hotel is located in a stunning Art Deco building that is part of the La Samaritaine complex. Following a 16 year restoration, La Samaritaine has been brought back to its former Belle Epoque glory with the hotel as a spectacular addition to this storied Parisian institution.
To cap off our whirlwind Parisian girls trip (more on that in a coming post), my girls and I checked into the Cheval Blanc Paris for a final luxurious night in Paris. Talk about an incredible end to an incredible trip! The nine of us were comfortably ensconced in three of the hotel’s Seine Junior Suites with three girls fitting incredibly comfortably per room. With a kingsized bed and a twin rollaway bed that the hotel staff graciously set up for us, we all had the best night of sleep. Luxurious bedding and downright excellent mattresses totally cocooned us. The pillow menu was also a total treat and ensured a comfortable sleep for even the most discerning guest. The decor of the suite is inspired by the Art Deco heritage of the property and features a calming palette of beiges and golds. It’s honestly hard to pick my favourite feature of this gorgeous suite. The winter garden, an enclosed sun filled balcony, was perfect for taking in the gorgeous view from the suite and proved to be just the spot to enjoy our room service breakfast. The marble bathroom was basically a spa with luxurious full sized products scented with the hotel’s custom blends, a giant soaking tub, and a hammam walk in shower. My skin care obsessed self was particularly taken with the beauty fridge that was also part of the bathroom. Additionally, there was an incredible spacious walk-in closet, a very stocked bar area, and a water-closet featuring one very technologically advanced toilet.
While we didn’t get to enjoy the full benefits of the Cheval Blanc Paris’s amenities, namely the pool and the Dior Spa, we did get to enjoy multiple dining experiences. We enjoyed drinks at Le Garden, the hotel’s garden rooftop bar that is open during the warmer months. With breathtaking views of the surrounding areas and delicious custom cocktails, it’s absolutely worth a visit even if you’re not staying at the hotel. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant Le Tout-Paris where we ordered basically the entire bar menu and dessert list. Needless to say, it was a fabulous meal!
For our final meal on our final day in Paris, we had room service delivered for breakfast. It was the perfect relaxing and totally decadent way to close out our trip to Paris and our stay at the Cheval Blanc. With a wide range of scrumptious sweet and savoury breakfast options, it was the perfect way to start the day before heading off to the airport.
Needless to say, I absolutely loved my stay at the Cheval Blanc Paris. It’s a true luxury property that is visually gorgeous and embodies the hotel groups exacting standards of providing exemplary service and experiences. Countless thoughtful touches were found throughout even the shortest of stays. There were gracious welcome treats to be found upon check-in, fresh baked treats from the hotel’s expert kitchens and darling little gifts like branded pouches, key chains, and paper fans that were wrapped up and waiting for us upon arrival to our rooms. I also greatly appreciated the housekeeping staff placing my bouquet of flowers in a vase of water without my asking. They proved to be a gorgeous addition to the bouquet of beautiful fresh flowers that were already in the room. Another favourite touch was the turn down service. Arguably one of the best I have ever experienced, a padded mat was placed bedside with slippers waiting to comfort your tired feet after a day spent exploring. There was also a warm pot of soothing and totally relaxing tea waiting bedside as well as the hotel’s custom pillow spray.
If you’re looking for a luxurious stay in the heart of Paris, the Cheval Blanc Paris is a must for even the most discerning luxury traveller!
